Hello!

In need of some creative input here...

I'm about to start a kitchen renovation in a seventies townhouse with the original kitchen (!). In this process, I'm planning to annex an area of 60*60 from the hallway to make space for an additional tall cabinet. The problem is that the hallway has tiled flooring with heating, so I can't attach the sill to that part of the floor. My thought is to glue the 60 cm of the stud that will land on the tiles. I was thinking of using a 70 mm sill to have some space to cut out for the slightly higher level of the tiled floor. So the questions are:

1: Am I completely off track with this idea?

2: If I'm not on the wrong track, what kind of glue should I use?

Do you even have to glue it if it's not more than 60cm?
Isn't it enough to place the wall studs under tension and fasten them with angle brackets to the adjoining wall?

But if you want to glue, a mounting adhesive will work.
