Now the start notice is also here, so the construction of both the house and the garage will begin with bul, and that's when the questions start coming in....
I thought of building the garage myself, and I have asked truss manufacturers if they can also help me with the glulam beams and pillars for the carport, but no one has been very enthusiastic about it. The only tip I've received is that you can use a 45*145 as a corner board to get a larger support against the house wall or maybe even avoid recessing the beam into the wall.
The garage will be built in Västerås, snow zone 2, and the roof will be covered with concrete tiles on plywood. All other info is available on the drawings.
Is there anyone who can help me with the calculation of glulam and pillars (the plinth is executed by a contractor, so if there is any pressure calculation he needs to dimension the plinth correctly, I would appreciate that too)
Suggestion: Call Takstolsfabriken in Nässjö. They have no problem calculating your glulam solutions. I personally received help with our barn where I used two 9 m long glulam beams at the ridge.

Thanks for the tip! I'll give them a call tomorrow. Maybe they'll also want to deliver trusses 😋
