Glued laminated beam to steel beam

Hi!
I'm renovating an older house. 1.1-2 stories today. Zone 2
Going to remove a load-bearing wall in the middle of the house..
Went to the construction company where they said a glulam beam with dimensions 145x315 is required, but then I'll bump my head every time. So if
I replace it with a steel beam/h-beam etc.?

No one knows how to recalculate it. Going crazy!

Dimensions:
House width will be about 8m
The load-bearing wall is in the middle. That is, 4.20 in one room and 3.60 in the other where the load-bearing wall stands as an ugly wall today.
The idea is an open floor plan on the ground floor with a large kitchen.

Does anyone know how to calculate this?

Do you mean it should be an 8m 145x315mm beam with a free span or a 145x315mm beam with a maximum span of 4.2m?

Oops, I forgot.
The width of the house is 8m total. But the OPENING where the wall itself is and will be removed is 4 wide.

Yes. I realized I got it a bit wrong.
The opening itself should only be 4m. Maybe even 3.50. There is also a chimney right through the house next to where an opening will be.
