Glued laminated beam, 56x115

Anyone know where I can find a glulam post, 56x115? I can of course bring out the ripsaw, but it's both more expensive and worse...

Does it have to be glulam?
I spontaneously think of regular solid board

Byggmax does have, though not in exactly that dimension, but a 56x225 or 115x115 that you might be able to saw to the right dimension. However, a blade that saws 115 thick isn’t exactly standard equipment.

56*115 is not a standard dimension. If you want exactly that dimension, you'll probably need to place a special order or split/saw another dimension.

If you cut a 115x115 in half, you should get almost exactly two pieces of 56x115 considering a few mm will be lost with the blade. Then you can build double the size you were originally thinking
