Planning to lay large granite ceramic tiles on the patio, which is a cast concrete slab, with the thought of using the Pavepad system but will encounter issues with the floor being too high. What do you think about gluing the tiles with fairly wide joints and grouting with hard grout?

I have a similar project. About 40 square meters. Initially, I thought of laying with fix. Then with foot supports. But I only have 5 cm height to play with over 4 meters where I want a slope. You can lay granite klicker on foot supports. Now I'm considering just laying them loosely directly on the existing cast slabs. Maybe something softer a couple of mm in between. Today it's basically completely even, but I want a slope away from the house. So I'm thinking of applying a slope and then just laying the tiles which will be large and heavy. Probably, it will be difficult if it's not perfectly flat (with slope). It's possible to create a slope in another way, e.g. with very low foot supports, but then they may not be adjustable. Some kind of joint will be needed, but I don't want it to be too large. Has anyone done similar with success? Any advice?
