Hello!
I'd like to get rid of our pump unit from the bathroom to avoid being startled by the sound every time. As an alternative to buying a new submersible pump and pressure tank, I'm thinking about placing the pump unit in the well instead, but there's one problem left. Making it watertight.
It has held quite a bit of water at times.
It consists of two rings, 60 cm high. The upper ring has shifted a few centimeters sideways. When they made the hose connection, they just hacked a huge hole in the bottom ring without sealing it. There isn't a proper bottom, just soil.
You can fix the hole for the hose, and you could cast a bottom and make a sump well. But will it be possible to successfully seal the joint between the rings without digging them up?

  • Concrete well with open lid and visible pipe inside, surrounded by grass and fallen leaves.
