New here and not quite sure where to post the question, but I'll try here!
We have just bought a new house, white plastered from the early 1900s. The house used to have a long extension at the back with a basement underneath. Several years ago, the extension was shortened, and a patio was made on the foundation. In the basement below, it's quite damp now, and you can see along the walls that moisture is coming down.
What can we put on the patio to make the floor watertight?
We would like to find a product to paint or spread on to make it watertight. We've looked at various epoxy products, but where can we get them?
Also considered metal sheets and wooden decking... or laying tiles... but we would like to do something quickly before autumn.
Does anyone have suggestions???
Thanks, thanks!

On the culvert between the two buildings at my job, they have some sort of asphalt paste (the roof is exposed right now due to renovations, otherwise it would be under the lawn). It works somewhat, but it's probably the drainage that's inadequate.
Otherwise, a tip might be to look at how they solved it on balconies with a veranda underneath?

It's not that there's condensation in the basement.
Asphalt, roofing felt, rubber mat, sheet metal, or quickly a tarpaulin keeps the water away.

Thanks for the quick responses!
You can see that it's more humid now since it has rained a lot, and something strange white is growing on the ceiling...
But surely the moisture is also coming from the sides. Proper drainage around the house probably needs to be done as well. Completely different question.. What materials should be used closest to the house for drainage??
More ideas on how to seal the floor??

Against the foundation/basement wall, place a platon mat or some insulation (pordrän or similar), then backfill with what was there previously. If you can afford it and also want a belt and suspenders, you can additionally opt for coarse gravel.

The "weird white stuff" on the ceiling is likely just deposits from the concrete. I assume that it weakens the concrete over time, but it is probably not mold or anything like that. (writing as I do because you haven't sent a picture)
I used EPDM rubber that was hot welded, this became tight. Then I saw in some thread that Höganäs has a product for "rollat tatskickt" outdoors, FB3. I think this could work.

Going to check out that Höganäs product! It sounds pretty good.
Going to take some pictures of everything today and upload them! It’s great to get advice and tips here. I’ll probably be asking a lot of questions going forward...
