Hello!
This is a continuation of
this thread, you could say. I have decided to build stringers that will be 90x220 (and somewhere around 6200 mm long, maybe even longer).
I have, as best I could, measured the angle of the stairs to be 21 degrees. I'm thinking of treads of 415 mm (a 45x220 and a 45x195), riser height 140 mm, and with that, I can also fit a 22x95 cladding board as a riser. The step protrudes 50 mm over the step below and the riser sits at the back edge of the step below so that it protrudes 28 mm over the riser. The tread length will therefore be 415-50 = 365 mm.
Riser + riser + tread length then lands at 645 which is a bit more than the "golden rule" that suggests 630 mm. But still OK, I think.
Anyone have input on this or other ideas?
