Hello!

I noticed that I will get a "small" gap or a small hole if I install the baseboard and molding without a block.

I've been searching online but can't find any simple, clean, straight blocks, only ones with lots of beveled edges and embellishments. I have a bunch of blocks that were there before that could work with sanding and repainting, but I'd prefer to solve it without them.

I've been considering if it's possible to cut the transition strip so that it also covers the side? Might look a bit awkward?

Anyone have any good ideas? :)

Make the wide strip for the baseboard long enough to extend all the way to the next cover strip and cut out for the door casing.

Build an extension on the threshold that goes out to the sides and you drop the casing down to.
Or finish against the casing.
It does not need to be as high as the existing threshold.
