Hi

Can one fix a gap in a ceiling between two gypsum boards that is from 1cm up to 2cm? There is almost just air above.
Gap between two drywall sheets on a ceiling, measuring 1 to 2 cm, with visible wooden support behind.

Best regards, Erik

The image is not working.

Mix some plaster and patch it in. Just make sure there is no excess hanging down, instead, apply with regular hand putty and tape.
(Plaster is a devil to sand...)

Thank you for the response, Anders.
A few more questions.
1: Will the plaster be thick enough to stay in place as I don't have anything to press it against?
2: Will it adhere properly to both sides of the gap, or should the sides be treated with something adhesive?

When you mix it, you should achieve a consistency that sticks on the spatula. Take a dollop on the spatula, turn it upside down and shake it slightly; if the plaster remains attached, you have a good consistency. Plaster adheres well to plasterboards and it doesn't swell either, so as you apply it, it will be just right!

Perfect, thanks for the quick response!
