Hello,
Should it work to place styrofoam (about 5cm) under a concrete slab (about 5cm)?
The purpose is both filling and reducing cold.
It's old styrofoam that previously lay on the concrete slab.

Sorry. A bit unclear of me. Renovating a bathroom in the basement and have demolished 20cm of the floor and started laying 11cm drainage pipes. The idea is to fill the floor up to halfway on the pipes (=5 cm left of the pipes) and then pour concrete (about 5cm) just to cover the pipes.
The original idea was to put isodrän underneath to get rid of moisture while also getting some insulating effect. But now it feels a bit overkill and am thinking about either putting back the demolished floor at the bottom or filling it up with styrofoam...

The EPS concrete seems a bit expensive. But I can consider chiseling a bit deeper than the 20cm already removed for insulation. But what is recommended as insulation? I have 5cm thick styrofoam boards that I'd like to use that are sufficient for one layer. But that's a bit weak with just these. Should I be ambitious enough to lay 6.5cm of isodrän underneath, or are there any other tips?
If it's a bathroom, chisel out more so that you have room for more insulation...since it can be difficult to get the bottom completely level, you can lay down leca first which insulates and acts as a capillary barrier, then even it out with the foam...but as thick as possible up and then 10 cm concrete, preferably Eps crack reinforced...
