It will be too long, it should be cc60 for floor chipboard. Of course, it would hold a few boxes of clothes or so, but I don't think chipboard has a particularly pleasant character when you're on the verge of what it can withstand; either it holds or it collapses. Planks flex and you have a better sense of how much you dare to load...

Why not use raw boards, like on a roof, with the planed side up.
They're usually sturdy enough to walk around on with cc 1200.

I have the same idea about laying flooring in the attic, and now when I read that 1200 is too much maybe it can work in an attic with a gap of 960, or?injonil said:It will be too long, it should be cc60 for floorboards.
