Hello!

I'm in the process of demolishing the gable of the house to replace the windows.

It's a module house from Hultfredshus from 1972, with 5 load-bearing/supporting windows.

Under the door to the garden, the sill had completely rotted, probably due to poor installation in 1993.

Now to the question, see the image. (cross-section)
Cross-section of wall construction with labeled measurements: 1. horizontal 120x30mm, 2. vertical 120x30mm, 3. horizontal 100x30mm, 4. horizontal 90x70mm.

I find it very strangely constructed with a 30mm sill, standing 120x30mm, and then the window frames were placed on this.

I had to cut away all the way down to the basement wall, so I thought we would put a 120x45 directly on the basement wall, then standing 45x95 up to the roof truss.

Should this work? Instead of cutting 30mm planks, etc.

/Johan
