Hi!
I am planning to do a light renovation of the basement. It is completely dry, so there are no moisture problems. Before my time in the house, a room was created under an extension, but no door was installed. My idea is to build a simple wooden door. But I need to fix all the stonework first. Also around the entrance door to the basement, see pictures.

How should I proceed? It doesn't have to be perfect, but reasonably done.

  • Damaged basement door frame with exposed stone and insulation, adjacent to stairs and fallen leaves, requiring repair before adding a wooden door.
  • Close-up of a basement entrance showing damaged stonework and a white door frame. Sunlight and greenery visible outside through a window.
  • Close-up of a basement entrance showing an unfinished door frame with exposed stone and insulation, highlighting renovation needs around the door area.
  • Basement doorway with exposed stone and insulation, showing unfinished construction near entrance. Wiring is visible, highlighting renovation needs.
  • Rough stone pillar in a basement, adjacent to a plastered wall and next to a plastic storage box.
Polish.
