I'm renovating an old damaged wall in the basement that has been hidden behind building plastic for 30 years. I'm going to re-plaster it and have decided to first remove what is loose, then apply rödgrund, and then apply new plaster.
In a couple of places, the wall was really bad so there are holes where the substrate is almost completely gone. My humble question is whether I need to fill them in with some kind of repair mortar before applying rödgrund and plaster, or is it okay to proceed directly?

Are you sure that there isn't, for example, granite farther in or is it just a non-load-bearing partition wall? If there have been solid cast bearing external walls that have crumbled to the point where you can dig your way out through them, then I think you have a major renovation ahead of you; it must be a risk for enormous subsidence.
I am pretty sure that they are not load-bearing walls, the basement was excavated long after the house was built. So they are not solid-cast walls but are more for keeping the soil away from the basement.
