Hello. The ceiling in the barn has collapsed because the whole building had a bad roof many years ago (rain damaged). Above this ceiling, I have a hayloft. I wonder:

1. Is it possible to keep the load-bearing beams above the ceiling even if they are a little rotten at the outer ends?
2. How much might it cost if a carpenter does the entire job of replacing the ceiling?
3. Is this a simple job that any carpenter can handle?
Thankful for your response.
