Hello all heroes!

Going to fix my daughter's room. Grooving for the electrical wiring doesn't feel as dreadful, I've uncovered old wires that were blocked from the casting of the slab. Removing mortar and plaster went quickly.

The radiator is giving me a headache. The western bracket has completely come off, so it needs a repair there. But what and how?
Removing the radiator isn't much of a problem right now, the system is emptied. For the fix then, should I drill out with a hole saw on both mounting holes, fill it with mortar, and then drill in new mounting elements? Should I consider some kind of spreader plate? Honestly, I feel lost here.

  • A white radiator under a window with visible pipes and a loose fastener, placed on a bare floor with tools nearby in a renovation setting.
  • Room under renovation with exposed wiring, a window, and a radiator with detached west side mount; materials and tools are scattered on the floor.
  • A radiator bracket that has detached from the wall, requiring repair for secure attachment.

Remove the radiator, clean the hole thoroughly, insert anchor mass and place a threaded rod. Let it cure and screw the bracket on. You may be able to drill a little deeper at the same time.

P.S. It's good this thread was created; it reminds me that I should do the same thing with a radiator in a brick wall.

Had to use the long hollow drill to remove one of the expanders. It turned out to be a good hole, round is good, less risk of cracking👍

Fixed my radiator today.
Wall with removed radiator brackets, visible holes for anchor setting, and a painted surface. Partial radiator and pipes in the bottom left corner.
Just had to remove the expander.

Exposed section of wall with anchoring work, showing a threaded rod inserted into a filled hole using mesh sleeve and anchor adhesive.
Used M10 threaded rod, perforated sleeve, anchor adhesive,
Cleaned the hole with a brush and air.
Filled 3/4 of the hole, then inserted the perforated sleeve, filled the remaining part, and inserted the threaded rod,
Used masking tape as a "mold"....

Masking tape as a mold, tempt with it then?

Yes, exactly, so the ankarmassa doesn't flow out of the hole.
