Hello.

I am wondering what options are available regarding a firewall behind a wood-burning stove.

I am planning to install an "Austroflamm PI" and need to get it as close to the wall as possible (the reason for this is that the chimney/flue will otherwise come too close/hit a roof truss), chimney NVI 2000 top-mounted.

Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately, I don't think there are many alternatives to a fire wall unless you have a masonry wall behind it.

I myself thought (Contura 460) that I could get away by installing fireproof boards in the wall behind, but the suggestion was rejected by the installer who still put up a fireproof wall on the outside. So now I have both belt and braces...

okay.

I can imagine building a wall if it allows me to place the stove closer to the wall. (of course, I would have to replace the current wooden wall then) but it could be an option.

Hi.

Anyone willing to upload pictures of your stoves and fire protection?

Need some inspiration and ideas.
