Hello!

I'm planning to build an Eksjöhus with a double garage two meters away. The wall facing the neighbor for both the garage and the house needs to be fire-rated, and it's included with Eksjöhus! This is because we will only have 2 meters from the garage to the neighbor and on the other side 3 meters between the house and public space.
I understand the reason for the house, but the garage?

From what I've understood, there are many different ways to achieve that fire rating.
Does anyone know how Eksjöhus does it?
Insulation-OSB-drywall?
I was planning to insulate the garage afterward anyway, but maybe I can skip a wall now?

Anyone know?

Insulate the garage with stone wool and you should be able to apply a simple plasterboard if you want. Not sure how eksjöhus does it though, ask the seller?

Spoke with the seller this week and he said it would be insulated + gypsum in our case and that was included from them! However, there was no ceiling included in the garage and shouldn't the fire spread well anyway in that case?

How did it go? I'm in the same situation if it should be double plaster in the ceiling or single. I can't make sense of the drawing from Eksjöhus if it's only the walls that are ei30.

Only insulated the walls! That's what was required for them. And plasterboard too of course

For info, a single layer of gypsum on each side is sufficient and no insulation is needed to achieve EI 30.

If both walls require EI30, does the ceiling need it as well? Is 1 layer of gypsum enough in the ceiling? There is loose fill insulation above the protection layer in the ceiling.
