I have made a small extension at home, insulated it, and yesterday I wrapped the walls in plastic. In my previous constructions, I have always finished the plastic against the chipboard/concrete slab, as I then had an existing floor to work against. Currently, it's just a framed floor, no chipboard yet, so I can choose whether to lay the chipboard on the plastic or extend the plastic over the chipboard.

I can add that I'm planning for underfloor heating, plasterboard, and then tiles on top of that.
 
The plastic should always be pulled out onto the floor and spliced together with the floor plastic. If it is not an intermediate floor, then it should be joined with the plastic from the floor below.

And where should the floor plastic be placed, between which layers? I have built the extension on pillars and covered the ground with plastic to prevent moisture from creeping up from the ground. Haven't put anything on the floor yet.

Another thought about floor plastic, moisture should seek to rise upwards and not down, right?
 
The floor plastic should be placed under the floor chipboard. Moisture usually travels downward.

Sure, I can throw in plastic under the floor chipboard. However, I wonder what happens with the screw gluing of the chipboard that many, including the manufacturers of grooved boards, recommend, because you can't glue on the plastic...

No vapor barrier for tiles then. Problem solved.
