Find studs behind corrugated metal

Hello!

Trying to find studs behind the metal sheets in the garage to put up shelves. The garage is internally clad with corrugated metal. I've bought a stud finder but it didn't work well, it works fine on flat surfaces.

So is there a way to find the studs?

Look for nail or screw heads; they should be in the studs if the sheets are fastened more than at the ends.

Okay, could it be that there are only horizontal studs, only find nails horizontally? But I'll check a bit more carefully, thanks.

Of course it can be so, and if you only find nail heads in that direction then it's probably the case...

The craftsmen drink less “rus-dryck” at construction sites nowadays.

But if you want to be absolutely sure about how the studs are positioned behind your sheet metal, just take it down and you'll get an answer immediately! :wow:
