Hello.
I am building a garage and stable in the same building. Total area 164 sqm.
I am currently working on the last layer of insulation in the garage part but have waited with the wall that separates the garage and stable.
Exterior walls consist of paneling, wind barrier, vertical 170 insulation, PLASTIC, horizontal 45 insulation, OSB, and finishing with gypsum.
But I have received many ideas about how the dividing wall should be clad, the plan is 95 + 45 insulation there, but where should the plastic be placed, should it even be included? The garage will be heated, the stable insulated but not heated. Mechanical exhaust in the stable.
Seeking advice

Best regards, Johan

The plastic should always be on the warm side of the construction. Max 1/3 in from the inside.

Ok, thanks for the answer. If you go by that calculation with 1/3 in, I have prepared trusses for living space/storage above the garage and stable. Where should I then place any plastic in the stable roof since the upstairs will be heated in the future, should probably have some kind of membrane/plastic before battens and boards? (The floor structure is intended to be spray insulated)

You can have windduk on the cold side and plastic on top of the floor joists.
