We recently bought a villa built in '77 and today I found something strange... Next to the front door, there is a small storage space of about 0.5 square meters for things like rakes, shovels, etc. It is completely uninsulated and the door consists of sparse planks.
Today I discovered where the fan noise is coming from, as there is a vent in the ceiling of the storage room where it draws air. The house has forced ventilation with a fan on the roof.
Why would you place an exhaust there?
