Behind the panel, the wind seems completely exposed. Is it supposed to be like that??
And how do you seal joints in asfaboard?

New panel will go on within a day, so grateful for quick responses.

If it's a cold attic, it doesn't matter much if wind barrier is missing. But take the opportunity to install wind barrier now. The attic will still be ventilated from the eaves, if properly constructed.
