Does anyone have experience with facade timber?

I have found a few places that sell it and it seems really good and looks nice in their pictures, of course. But is there anything specific to consider??

What do you mean by fasadtimmer?

Are you going to build a real log cabin?
Or make the house look like a log house with a log panel?

I have heard that genuine log houses are really difficult to build as they move quite a bit, and it also costs a bit more.

You should make sure to buy "faketimmer" that looks like "rot o topp," i.e., different widths at the ends so it really looks like timber. If you can also get handbilat and then add timmerknutar, it will look really nice! ;D

How the heck can you insert images?

No matter what you do with fake logs, it will show somewhere. Nothing compares to a real log house.
If you're considering building a log house, why not buy an old house and move it. That's what we did and it went great! There was supposed to be an image here but...
The cost won't be less than building a stick-built house, but compared to buying a new handmade log house, you can save money.
Especially if you live here in Norrland, there are lots of houses that you could take down.
