The outer wall of our newly built guest house leans outward. Measured with a plumb line, 3.5 cm. Discovered the issue when the window trims were to be installed; the windows were mounted along the outer wall. What should be done? Next week, the construction company will come over.
yes what do you want to achieve? get the wall straight? make it just look straight, what is the construction company supposed to do if it's already built?
Preferably get them straight but that's an impossibility! Is this acceptable? Should one get a price reduction? Extra work to get the window sill right, who pays for that? Is it normal for walls to be crooked when built by professionals?
The approved tolerance for inclination is surprisingly "lenient" indeed. But you should not accept that. A skilled carpenter can straighten it up without needing to tear down the entire cabin. Hopefully, you haven't paid yet.
