Exterior panel to floor skirting

I've been looking around for a baseboard about 15 cm high with a chamfer on the top edge, but otherwise smooth. Can't find anything interesting. Does anyone know if it's possible to take exterior cladding 22*145 and mill it to create a custom profile, or will the wood start acting up and the sky will fall down?

I have done this in my vacation home, taken an exterior panel board and used a router to create a profile on the top, with the rough side facing the wall. I haven't seen any disadvantages.

Then I would have bought planed wood and milled in that case.
