I have a split-level house and would like to expand it (+20 sqm on two floors).
So, I need to complement an existing slab.
I can choose to make it of concrete or with a crawl space. A concrete slab requires concrete trucks and a lot of concrete. I imagine it will be expensive. I would prefer to do all the work myself and assume that the crawl space is more appropriate then. But how suitable is it to complement a concrete slab with a crawl space?

Nice... but why do you recommend the plattan?
Doesn't it become much more expensive in many ways if you're used to "doing everything yourself"?

It will probably be a bit more expensive, but you avoid the moisture risks that crawl spaces have.

Clearly slab on ground. You get rid of all the problems that come with a crawl space foundation.
