Experience with framework from the 1920s-30s?

In the process of renovating a house from the late 1920s. Was completely sure that the house had plank frame, but now upon further examination, the exterior walls consist of:

1.5” horizontal tongue and groove facade panel
50x100 studs
The 100mm cavity is filled with wood shavings
Inner horizontal tongue and groove panel (2cm thick)

Does anyone here have experience with this construction method? Is it stable? The rafters/underframes are not connected to the studs, and I can't see if there are horizontal beams connecting the studs.

Is the outer facade panel the element that ties the studs together?

The stability is probably nothing you need to worry about. The downside of the construction as such is that the shaving collapses and the "insulation" gets worse if drafts and the like find their way in.

My grandmother had such a building, very stable. The problem arises under the windows when the wood shavings sink, of course there can also be issues at the tops of the walls if you don't add shavings from above.
