Experience with ByggMax complaints department
As someone with quite a bit of life experience and also two houses, I actually don't understand why some people buy certain goods at BM.
They continuously monitor prices at Bauhaus and try to match them. They are significantly cheaper than, for example, K-rauta and Beijers.
But both the quality and service suck Hä*tba*le.
In some cases, it's worth picking up an item in-store, but I would never buy a floor or another item that is crucial for a good result.

Part of the explanation could be that ts shops at Byggmax because he is satisfied with his local store, lives in the Kalix area, and lacks alternatives...Bauhaus' northernmost store seems to be in Umeå, for example.B Boende45 said:As someone who has a bit of life experience and also owns two houses, I really don't understand why people buy certain goods at BM.

A few days after I wrote this post, Byggmax finally got in touch, but all they said was that they needed more pictures to proceed with the case. I had already submitted about ten photos earlier showing how the pallet with the flooring looked upon receipt and pictures of the damage to the individual planks I wanted to claim. Since it had been so long since I made the claim, I had given up on any compensation and had taken the damaged planks to the dump. I just replied briefly that if the pictures I had sent earlier weren't enough, they could close the case. Yesterday, four months after I made the claim, I received a notice that I will be compensated for the damaged planks. It's a bit frustrating to have to wait four months for a decision on a claim. Even though I am happy with the floor I bought, I will be hesitant to order anything more from ByggMax Webshop.
I have experienced similar treatment from store and customer support. I've said it before, but it bears repeating. Byggmax customer support is the worst I've ever experienced.F Frazze99 said:A few days after I wrote this post, Byggmax finally got back to me, but all they said was that they needed more pictures to proceed with the case. Hi, I have the same problem. I have laid a floor that is faulty. Made a case, etc., with Byggmax. Not a single response in two months. Emailed the CEO, got an email the next day that the case was started. Then I haven't heard anything again for 1 month. It's terrible. I don't want to remove the faulty floor until they've given some response. So we have a creaking floor at home. Written on the complaint page at least 10 times and wondered how it's going. We simply have to keep nagging.F Frazze99 said:On February 28, I ordered about 25 m2 of laminate flooring from the ByggMax webshop. On March 13, the package arrived at the local ByggMax store in Kalix. When I went to the store to pick up the floor, a store employee informed me that the shipment was transport damaged, but unfortunately, they couldn't file a damage report; I had to do it myself. A bit strange, I think, since it was basically an internal transport within ByggMax. After unloading the floor, I photographed the damaged packages and filled out a damage report on ByggMax's website. A week later, on March 25, when I had laid the floor and gone through all the planks, I supplemented the damage report with the exact number of transport-damaged planks and a few more planks that had manufacturing defects. I also attached photos of all the planks.
Now it's been over two months without hearing anything from ByggMax's complaints department. Does anyone else have bad experiences with ByggMax's way of handling complaints? By the way, I shop a lot at the ByggMax store in Kalix, where the staff is nice and helpful.
I think this company is going downhill if they don't change their complaints system. It's not okay that you can't make a claim in-store. I bought a garden hose from Byggmax that burst after a day. Went back to the store to exchange it, but no, had to claim online. Didn't bother for 159 kr. Have previously shopped a lot at Byggmax but now I'm done. Really poor.F Frazze99 said:A few days after I wrote this post, Byggmax finally got in touch, but all they said was that they needed more pictures to proceed with the case.
