A 5 m long wall-mounted workbench made of chipboard for lighter loads will be set up against a brick wall. The brick is solid. Wall brackets are sturdy and will be mounted with c/c 600. The bench is 600 deep. I can use existing (unused) M10x40 drop-in anchors and threaded rods, or purchase significantly more expensive expanders. The project should be as cheap as possible. I have good experience with expanders for various purposes, but I know nothing about drop-in anchors in practical use.
Are drop-in anchors a reasonable substitute in the mentioned construction?

Do anchor bolts even work in brick?

Larger plastic plugs with screws should work. Like a facade plug. With such close spacing between brackets.

It is hard-fired solid brick.
