I will try to install a glass roof (type Canopy System) over the entrance door. The construction requires four attachments to the façade. Hole 10mm, bolt is 8mm.
The house is built of regular solid red brick.
I need to know if the expansion bolt should be mounted in the brick or in the mortar.
Which part is strongest from a structural point of view?
