Drywall on existing panel ceiling

I am planning to renovate two bedrooms. The rooms currently have a panel ceiling (grooved panel), and I'm thinking of screwing drywall directly onto the panel. The ceiling is sloped.
How would you do it in the best possible way? I must add that I want to completely avoid crown molding in any form.
