Hi! I'm trying to find a tool called "Plastering Hawk" in English. I don't know if it's called "hök" in Swedish. But it is used when plastering/masonry among other things. I can't find it in any hardware store. It is available on Amazon among others, but I would have liked to buy it locally.

Or is it called something completely different? The link perhaps describes better what I'm looking for.

The "höken" appears to be a board with a perpendicular handle, seemingly used as temporary storage for the filler/mortar. It's not something I have encountered before; instead, we usually use an extra putty knife here.

Should be doable with a piece of aluminum sheet and a broomstick?

Or even thinner plywood?

Is it what you're looking for?
"Kanitz 80 x 260 float plastic 308 960032" [link]
Hm yes maybe that's the closest, but it looked more ergonomic to hold "gipshök".

Thanks for the response, I was advised about a plastering float. But I thought a "Plastering Hawk" looked ergonomic and convenient when it was square as well. Plastering floats seem to mainly be rectangular.

You can order them on cdon

Have a nice day
