Drilling into concrete wall?

How do I avoid large chunks of the wall/plaster from coming off the other side when drilling through a concrete wall?

Drill with a smaller pilot bit before moving on to a larger size. Have someone press a board firmly against the intended exit hole also helps. If you want to do it like the pros, rent a concrete hole locator and drill from both sides:

Drill with a smaller pilot bit before using a larger dimension. Having someone press a board firmly against the planned exit hole also helps. If you want to do it like the professionals, rent a hole finder for concrete and drill from both sides:

When you finally drill with the large bit, do it from both sides.
And let the machine do the work, don't press too hard

It's a 14mm I'm going to drill, to run through an electric cable, to the parking lot.

Going to try drilling tonight, and have my partner stand and hold against it.

Just hope I have a smaller drill bit so I can pre-drill:/ otherwise it will be a trip to the building supply store.
