Ok but what diameter of drill should I use and which post bases should I use?

You should use a drill that fits the post shoes you will use. They typically have 12 mm iron at the bottom, right? For the foundation iron, you need to go up a bit in size.

What you're really asking is how to anchor your railing, right? More information is needed about what the railing will look like.

Hello.
As mentioned before, they're not wobbly Jörn, that being said, they're not bad. I usually take the rougher iron with an 18mm pin, I believe.
Then I drill so they come as close as possible with the attachment against the rock.
Now I'm guessing you're going to build a deck, then you let the posts continue up through the deck to become railing posts.
Please explain what you're going to do so we can help better.

Now I saw that you're going to make a railing, then you'll need to brace it and maybe use the previously suggested iron.
Good luck.

There will be a short railing of maybe two meters up a staircase.
Which shoes and post shoes should one use?
Outdoor stone steps covered in greenery, partially obscured by ivy, surrounded by foliage on a sunny day.

If it is just a straight railing, I would recommend plintjärn, two per post. With joist hangers in a straight line without any braces, there is a risk it will become wobbly.

Consider if you can use the pole supports sold in the form shop. They are only 6mm hot-dip galvanized material but you should be able to have a couple attached to the rock for each pole.

Should you pour something that solidifies into each hole as well?

The last time I did this, I drove down post shoes with 16mm iron in 16mm holes. The back of a wrench to prevent the post shoe from twisting and I used a sledgehammer to drive them down. A bit too much work perhaps, but I couldn't be bothered to go to the store to buy mortar, it would have taken over an hour...

If you need something to harden and fix the metal rod in the rock, you can choose between different expensive two-component adhesives or expansive concrete, which becomes much cheaper if you are going to cast many holes.

Ok ths

Now there are only two brackets that are now drilled and hammered in. But maybe try with anchor mass?
