Drill in solid oak

Hello,

I am going to make a shelf in solid oak. In the shelf, I will rout for three spots. In addition to the routing for the spots, I need to rout on the back of the shelf and drill from the back to each spot location. The drilling is about 15 cm. The question is then, what type of drill bit do I need to use? Spiral drill? Regular wood drill?

Regular wood drill works just fine. Oak isn't that hard, after all.

Don't forget to let the drill cool down occasionally, and not too high speed, as it gets hot.
