Sounds reasonable. But isn't the idea with Platon mat that no water should get into the boards? Then it's a "dry space," right?
Yes, but then Platon is also required on the outside of the foam board. Then the whole point is lost, and it's simpler, and probably cheaper, to install Pordrän or a similar board made for that purpose.

Maybe so, but the Pordrän boards cost about 2-3 times more than s100. Oh well...

That may be true, but stinginess can deceive wisdom. Regular cell plastic is like a dishcloth, except it takes a little longer to absorb the water.

It takes much longer. In a pond, I saw a piece of Frigolite board floating around for at least ten years. So they are not very much like Vettex cloths.

Push the Styrofoam down under the water, it doesn't float up along the basement wall :)
And you preferably don't build a floating dock with EPS foam as a floating element.

That may be true, but it still doesn't absorb water like a Vettex cloth.

I have protected my newly built basement wall which can be likened to a finish line after a downhill run. 50m. A steep slope crashes into my basement wall. The resistance consists of leca blocks, regular styrofoam, and on the outside, Platon mat. So far, the basement is bone dry.

Of course it works when you have the Platon mat on the outside. Just as you wear a helmet to protect the soft semi-senile mass inside the skull. Your polystyrene will likely continue to be dry and protected from external influences. Pordrän and similar products are all-in-one and are probably cheaper if you are completely impractical and need to purchase the service. Fewer steps to attach a Pordrän board, roll out some geotextile, and backfill. Polystyrene, glue it down, attach the unruly Platon mat, and then backfill. Time is money :)
But you don't lay EPS foam on the outside with damp soil backfilled against it. That would be a bit backwards.
