Hello
I'm going to build a fence around 210cm high. Horizontal boards on alternating sides. The posts will be 95x95.

Something like this:

Has anyone built something similar and can share some pictures?

According to the construction description, the horizontal ones should be 45x120, which feels a bit bulky, but maybe it will be symmetrical when it's in place.

  • Illustration of a "Double Panel" fence design with horizontally aligned boards and space between sections, shown on a construction instruction website.
Does it say 45 x 120? Is it not 22 x 120?

Illustration of wooden post assembly with measurements. Inner pieces labeled 45x120, ready to be screwed in. Detailed construction dimensions included.

45x120 are the innreliggarna that should be screwed in

Nix 45x120 if I interpret correctly

  • Material specification for double plank construction, featuring dimensions 45x120 mm. Includes plinth foundation, reinforcements, and fasteners.

No. I shall build with horizontal, not vertical boards.

Wooden fence with horizontal planks, some needing replacement, surrounded by greenery. The fence posts are rotting and require reinforcement to prevent leaning.

We have one like that which the previous owners of the house built. Overall, it's a quite nice looking fence but I have a lot of maintenance to do in the coming time with painting and replacing certain planks.

The boards are 145x28, by the way, and I think that's quite sleek. The big issue is that the posts are starting to rot and need replacing, and it also needs braces in two places so it doesn't lean.

Thanks. How much space is there between the boards? It looks like it's less than 145?

It is 6 cm. The entire fence is about 170 cm high!

The posts are 70x70

Anyone else who has built and can share some pictures?

Bumping again.

Planning to build a double plank with horizontal boards on 95x95 posts.

Considering 28x145 or 28x120. Which do you think will be best?
~170cm high.

28x145 with 11.5cm spacing on both sides or 28x120 with 9cm spacing?

No, saw an old thread and thought I'd write in it instead of creating a new one :)
