I live in a 1½-story house and am fixing up a room upstairs for my daughter, who is almost two years old. There is a storage space at the far end under the slanted roof. For the hole in the wall to the space, there is currently a chipboard held in place by two magnets. The hole is about 106 x 54 cm and about 26.5 cm deep.

I would like to build something that resembles more of a door to fit in the hole, but I'm not quite sure how to proceed. It should preferably have concealed hinges and be sealed, as it gets a bit chilly there during the winter months. I have a small idea to furnish part of the space for her, but until that's ready, the door should ideally be able to lock in some way. Are there perhaps ready-made doors that are this small?

Anyone have good tips on how I could do this?

A hole in a white wall framed with wood, covered by a particle board, in an attic room setup for renovation. An opening in a wall reveals a storage area under a slanted ceiling, filled with bags and boxes, lit by a ceiling light.
