Door frame sticking out beyond the wall!?
I have just bought a 60s house where we are planning to lay new flooring. With that, we also want to replace the baseboards and door frames. What we discovered is that there are no door frames, but the door jamb extends beyond the wall. The problem is that it doesn't extend far enough to create a neat edge with the baseboard. Does anyone have a clever solution for how to make this look good? The door jamb extends about 6 mm beyond the wall...
Are there thinner baseboards than the normal 12 mm?

If we assume that it is parquet or laminate flooring you want to lay, you should definitely not have thinner baseboards. The floor must be laid with an expansion gap against the wall. Otherwise, the floor will arch when it gets warm in the summer.
Yes, I've looked at baseboard trim, is it a good option?
We are going to lay laminate flooring, and when I wrote my first post, I probably didn't consider that you don't lay laminate flooring all the way against the wall... Thanks for the reminder

Buy a stylish strip in stainless steel or brass. Available at all hardware stores. Best regards, Johan
