After owning our cottage for 15 years, we have finally gotten around to clearing out one of the attic spaces. There was a completely unused combitherm stove and three boxes of tiles. I believe everything is from the 1980s, the tiles were packed in newspapers from 1981. I can't quite piece the puzzle together, but I still think they may have been ordered together. Meaning that the tiles are intended to enclose the stove?! Has anyone seen anything like this? If anyone has a picture of an "enclosed" combitherm, it would be fun to see.

  • A black and silver Combi-Therm stove from the 1980s in a rustic wooden room, placed next to a cardboard box.
  • Open combitherm stove from the 1980s, with interior items including a grate and plastic bag, found in attic.
  • Two CombiTherm manuals on ground; one titled "Eldning & Skötsel," the other "Monterings-anvisning," possibly for a combi-therm fireplace from the 1980s.
  • Cream-colored tiles laid out in a pattern on a wooden deck, possibly intended for tiling a combi-therm stove, as part of a home improvement project.
  • Tiles from the 1980s laid out on a wooden deck, possibly intended for enclosing a combitherm stove, as described in the forum post.

No bad finds! 👌
My kattvindar are not nearly as fun.

Yes, I think you can say with 110% certainty that they are connected.
That is, it's a modern version of a kakelugn.
Was there nothing about this in the installation instructions?

Yes, I think you can say with 110% certainty that they belong together.
That is, it's a modern variant of a tile stove.
Wasn't there anything about this in the assembly instructions?
Thanks for the reply! Nice that you think the same as I hoped. The assembly instructions are only for the stove unfortunately. I'll have to keep puzzling.

May I ask, do you have any idea what this might be worth if sold?
Best regards, Josefin
