Hello, I live in a small cottage with glass doors. One of the panes broke, so my dad had the idea to put in insulation he had leftover. However, he doesn't remember where it came from. Do you think this looks like asbestos insulation?

  • Close-up of a red cottage with a broken glass door pane replaced by insulation material. White door frame with louvered section on the side.
  • Close-up of brown insulation material between white wooden frames, possibly questioned as asbestos insulation in a broken window panel.
  • Close-up of insulation material placed behind white wooden slats, potentially resembling asbestos insulation.

Why do you think that?

That type of insulation has never existed with asbestos as far as I know. Looks like regular mineral wool, e.g. Rockwool from my hometown, Hässleholm.
