I will be assembling trusses on a masonry garage.

The truss manufacturer seems to have thought that the center-to-center distance should deviate from 1200 on both ends, see picture.

Isn't it common practice to start installation at one end and set cc1200 everywhere except at one spot to avoid extra work with cutting insulation, etc.?

Can I deviate from the design with respect to sizing, etc.?

Blueprint showing truss layout with unspecified end spacing; features include 3x1200 mm sections and a 27-degree angle, questioning standard practices.

It looks like the error is a rule thickness of 45mm... maybe double-check some more.

In terms of strength, there is no difference between 1178 and 1200.

P.S. I would probably have gone with cc 1200 and let it be an overhang on the short ends.. P.P.S.

The trusses are 45mm thick, yes, that's usual, right?

I also see that it won't be exactly like in the picture as gable peaks will be built which means that the two outer trusses need to be moved in about 30cm.

But is the principle you're aiming for cc1200 except at one place?

It would probably be better to follow the drawing so that both ends are positioned equally to be symmetrical.
