Now it is very possible that I'm posting in the wrong place, but I'll give it a try.
Tomorrow, I will start dismantling wardrobes from the bedroom in my rental apartment.
It's a wall of wardrobes that doesn't reach the ceiling.
Similar to the one in the picture, but mine go from wall to wall.
White wardrobes not reaching the ceiling, with six doors and silver handles, located along a wall in a bedroom.

I understand that it might be unsightly behind and that I need to save the wardrobes since it's a rental.
BUT, is there anything I should consider to make it go smoothly? Do I unscrew them
or do I have to pry them off?
Has anyone of you done the same thing?

I was thinking of setting up a wilfa system behind curtains instead of these cabinet blocks.

Regards, Sanna

Are the wardrobes screwed into the wall?
Do they share the partition walls?
Are there screws going through the partition walls to hold the different wardrobes together?

The door handles look like they are from the 60s and at that time wardrobes were more or less built-in and not made to be moved.

Have you talked to your landlord?

I think it sounds like an extremely bad idea in a rental apartment. Is there any floor under the baseboard? How do you plan to store the wardrobes until you need to put them back?

The wardrobes are probably screwed into the wall at the top, as well as into each other. It should be possible to take them down without using force.

But I have to agree with the above; The risk is that you will have to restore them when you move out. I would contact the landlord first to make sure they're on board...

Now they're gone ☺️ They were attached with a screw in the wall and then a plastic thing in between the walls. It went very smoothly. Luckily, there was a floor underneath, BUT the wall looks awful. I've put up curtains for now. Do you have any tips on the easiest and cheapest way to make it look nice? It doesn't matter how it looks, as long as it looks okay.

Difficult to assess without being on site, but tear down old gypsum if it's a gypsum wall, otherwise put up gypsum on top, then putty and paint or wallpaper.

It is some type of aerated concrete/plaster and many layers of old wallpaper.

Renovation gypsum that you glue to the wall and then putty and paint.

Or maybe skim coating? However, difficult to do on your own.
