Disadvantages of an insulated garage?
When we built our house last year, we were penny wise and bought a non-insulated garage, resulting in the garage/storage being composed of lots of studs and exterior paneling. Now I want to put up interior walls to organize things a bit with hooks and shelves, etc.
I've been offered by our carpenter to buy his surplus insulation for a cheap price. I said I wasn't planning to heat the garage, so I didn't need any insulation. Then he suggested it might as well be insulated while we were at it. But my question is; are there any downsides to insulating without intending to heat the garage? And could there be other advantages to insulating the garage without heating it?

I would insulate at least. Not many kronor to increase the garage's value and usage.
With an insulated garage, you can paint the windows in the winter instead of in the summer, for example.
Just set up a couple of cheap heaters if you want it warm.

A bit difficult to realize afterwards that it might have been used for something other than a garage and then have to demolish interior walls to insulate. Just penny-wise foolish not to do it when interior walls are being put up.
