When should you use which board??...what are the major differences between OSB-----K-plyfa------chipboard??..what should you consider when installing these?...(applies to wall mounting:D).. / M

OSB and Construction plywood are roughly the same, though plywood has a finer finish. Chipboard is different because it is made from chips. OSB has nearly the same construction as chipboard, but with larger flakes than chipboard... Plywood is also made from larger flakes, but it's laid in layers instead... For all panel boards, the spacing should be at least c/c 60.... (120 panels) plus it should also be nailed or screwed to both the top and bottom plates... Screws/nails should be placed approximately 15-20 cm apart. If you want a really heavy construction, space the studs c/c 30.... However, if using 90 panels, the standard spacing is c/c 45, and for heavy construction, space them c/c 30... Otherwise, the same distance applies for nails/screws.

If heavy items are to be hung on the wall, it is advisable to brace behind the relevant wall.

I am going to install k-plyfa in the garage due to its strength, I've heard that you should leave a small gap between each sheet so they can move... is that just a myth or should you do that? I'm going to have gypsum board on the outside........

No, but it is completely in order... A small gap of a few mm is okay...

It's no myth. Plywood and OSB should be installed with a few mm gap to accommodate moisture movements. A plywood sheet is cross-laminated, which reduces movements, but it also means that movements are equally large (about 1 mm/m) in all directions.
