Dem. of painted-over screw heads

Hi everyone! I'm considering replacing the windows on the house. I see that the exterior trims are screwed with Torx. How can I best remove them when there seems to be 2 layers of paint on the screw heads, without breaking the trims? Does anyone have a good idea? Thanks in advance.

Paint Bums on the screw heads, wait, and then peel off the paint so you can access?

I usually force in my impact driver - the impacts mash the paint, and the screw usually comes out. Sometimes you have to fiddle a bit with a knife if it really doesn't go in.

Of course, you replace the screws after something like that.
