Decorative stone made of lightweight concrete in basement?
Hello.
I'm considering installing some decor stone made of lightweight concrete in our basement.
https://www.byggmax.se/inredning/dekorsten/dekorsten-palermo-graphite-gra-p6753153
Is it okay to place such material against walls where there is moisture migration?
Is the material open enough to allow the moisture that comes from inside and outside to pass through?
I was thinking of possibly installing this against plaster or concrete blocks. Bad idea?
Any help is appreciated!

Stone material is what you aim to build the walls with where moisture is present. I find it hard to believe that these decorative stones are so dense that moisture has trouble getting through.
Just double-check the plaster to ensure there are no loose patches where the stones could fall off because the plaster has come loose.

Thanks for the response. I will go ahead with that kind of stone, and we'll see. As mentioned, it can't mold
Additional info:
My basement is drained with isodrän and the render is not loose, but is a bit crumbly in some places (only on the surface) and other places (mainly interior walls) are rock hard. The drainage was done just 3-4 years ago.

An interesting question is whether this lightweight concrete (which the stone is made of) has been painted to achieve the color on the front, if so, with what paint?
Can I test if it is diffusion-open in some way? Preferably, I would like to have open walls so that moisture can migrate. At least the exterior walls.

Thanks for the tip!
"We do not use paint only special pigments.
Our tiles are moisture resistant as any concrete.
Please remember that we have in our offer also gypsum (plaster) tiles.
They are not water resistant."
I received a reply via email from the manufacturer, it seems that lightweight concrete is better to install than tiles in a basement, as it breathes through the entire slab.
