Hello!
I've been looking at a washbasin made of mineral composite (also known as cast marble). I need to cut it down in length. Does anyone have experience with this? Is it possible? I'm thinking of buying a stone blade and putting it on a circular saw or plunge saw. The material seems to have some form of gelcoat. Is there a risk that it might crack? Bubble due to heat? Any other risks?
The cut will be made to shorten the length from 1600 mm to 1200 mm. The cut surface will be against the wall, so the cut itself won't be visible, but you want to be careful with the gelcoat.
The washbasin is Svedbergs Nerby. There is a Svedberg panel in the correct dimensions but costs about 2000:-.
Hoping someone has experience on the matter. Thanks for now//Richard
Hi Richard! I am facing the same question you had, even the same sink, Svedbergs Nerby. I want to fit a 160cm sink into a 156cm space. How did it go for you? Did any cutting take place?
